Johnny excellent video. I know you as re familiar with this .Here's my $.02 worth. The ( ) are extension notes. The chromatic minor third EXCERCISE will automatically give the min3 (#9) and 6 (13). The Exercise from A is: AC BbDb BD CE DbEDF EbGb EG FAb GbA AC. This is really an eye opener. Most of us know the C
natural minor is C to C in Eb or 3b key Signature CEb tells us that.
(C) D(Eb)F G ..C). This can be extrapolated to close notes. Most
Players after a while realize the b7 note is a step down from the root..Quick Examples (I am not using any flats. G7 has a F one whole step down. A one step down is G. Etc. But going back to
the min 3 exercise. The 6 of C is A..the b7 of C is Bb ..so this a valid check. Best way to see this is writing this out.
