4 Dice, 4 Chords, 1 Song. I let my random number app give me the notes for my chords and from that I have to create a song. All on the piano! This week the random notes were: Eb, A, F, Bb and it had to be in a Major Key!

In this series I’ll be composing music purely from the random numbers generated by the dice app on my phone (critdice) and only using them for left hand notes. It’s my right hand that has its work cut out figuring out how to make those left hand notes work well together!

At the end of each episode I’ll go over my thought process behind the chords and any interesting discoveries along the way!

Who Am I?

I began playing music at the age of 5, starting on the piano. I then began learning the guitar, the trumpet and then began making my own music. At which point I realised I didn’t really want to do anything else other than music.

Since then I’ve gone through various music courses at school, college and university. Finishing off my education with a degree in music production and a lot of piano students who I had taken on midway through my course.

I want everyone to have the chance to become a musician so I’ve decided to create this online course alongside the website to open up the doors to anyone willing to put in the practise.

I hope to see you following my course.

Over the coming months my focus will be on creating clear and concise content dedicated to teaching you how to:

– Play Piano
– Understand Music Theory
– Produce Your Own Music

I believe that anyone can learn to play an instrument as long as they are motivated and determined to listen, learn and practise with focus.

The next few weeks will be on the basics while I build and develop the website to go alongside the long term project. Which you can find here:

  1. That was a beautiful piece. Love the final choice of chord progression and melody. Discovered your channel from Mattโ€™s Workbench finale. Surprised you donโ€™t have a higher number of subscribers and views.
