Recommended Tyler Childers solo version of this song:
In this lesson, I’ll teach you how to play “Whitehouse Road” by Tyler Childers. This is a great song in drop-D tuning with a capo on the 5th fret – and it only needs 3 chords! I’ll teach you the chords, explain the intro riff that Tyler Childers plays, and break down the strumming pattern. I hope you enjoy!

You do a really good job at teaching, I have tried to learn to play a few times in my 40years of life and finally get it… thank you!!!
Thanks for the lesson! May I suggest moving your capo to a position that suits your voice. It's too low and I can't make out the words.

Hey buddy, great lesson !! Got to it really late though.
Please check out 99 Problems by Hugo and do on a lesson on it, especially the intro which is on a banjo I guess but is played on the guitar as well on many of his live performances and possibly on the record as well. Would be a great experience for you since there's no lesson of that sort on YouTube. Thanks a lot for this one again. Cheers !
Thank you.excellent communication

Can you please do a lesson on hard time by Tyler Childers
This is a great video!! Thanks man!
After playing this song for a while I can share a shortcut.
If you dont want to drop the e, then don't. Just hit your 6th string in the same fret as your hammer-ons.
Explanation:
Playing it this way means every third chord which was 5 frets down from the capo, is now on the same fret as the other hamer-ons (3rd fret, 6th string, c note), right in line with everything else, simplifying the already simple song.
Reason:
With the capo on the fifth fret, drop d tuning, five frets down is c. Keep your guitar at normal tuning, and two frets above fret 5 (fret 3)
is also c.
Try it and see if you like how it sounds.
You can dm me with any questions.
All the credit goes to this channel for teaching me this song. I couldnt have done it without him.
I just wanted to share this shortcut I learned.
On the “2nd d cord” on the riff are you hammering on and off the A string 3rd fret or just letting it ring. The spacing on the tab seems different
