Take a tune like So What/Impressions for example. How much does the melody influence your choice of notes for improvisation?
Great playing and attitude! But I really want to know what it is that you have mounted on top of your guitar… ??
Hai Rotem, great lesson as usual! I have a question, in the first example “thinking em7b5 – a7 over dm7” I heard three augmented triads that you play at tones distance. How you justify that? Whole tone scale? I hope I’ve been clear, if not sorry 😅
Rotem these are so clear and to the point, I'm getting a ton out of them. Really dense with material. So great. Thanks.
yeah!!!
Hi Rotem! I like that sound with the pedal note on the Dm. Sounds very Arabic almost like some of the stuff Al DiMeola does.
Excellent lesson Rotem! Your chromatic approaches hit my ear the most – something about those passing tones have always been preferable, but contrasting that with a solod m7 arpeggio, and you get the perfect balance of tension/release. Thoroughly enjoyed this my friend!
good one! I miss the thing to treat the minor as a m7b5, or maybe using this minor as there is from another mode, I mean "superlocrian"?
That's a great lesson – particularly like no#4 – colors of D!
Very good tips! Short and nice. I have been struggling to apply modes. Your video help to clarify. I hope to see more video from you.
