Just found you and started to go back to your older theory vids. They are like kindergarten for theory, which is great because I was really struggling in 1st grade. You tube is a great resource for those who have little choice but to teach themselves. However few tuber teaches have the patience to go slowly over the details. Thank you so much for doing that.

Ms Gracie, what and how you are teaching is amazingly helpful to someone like myself who plays all these scales and chords, but has really only understood what i was doing "by ear", and not theory. You are able to break down the "wall of intimidation" when it comes to music theory for ear players. I for one am extremely thankful for your efforts and willingness to share your knowledge in such an accessible way.

Beautiful demonstration and excellent way for learning those types of weird sounding chords i am recommending that you make another video which you can teach us how we use those weird sounding chords like the half diminished

Great explanation. For me, though, I find it easier to think in intervals than formulas. Gracie, I wonder if you would consider doing a video showing the same information but from an interval perspective?

Hi Gracie, another amazing tutorial. It is great how you point out the formulas on the board. The examples are very helpful. I like how you play the notes and the chords on the keyboard to show us how they sound (and you hum it) It is a nice touch when you ask us the questions and after a few seconds you give us the answer;))) speaking of the G major 7 , l believe it is part of the beginning of the Mariah carey song, all I want for Christmas? This tutorial is definitely a great reference point. Your tutorial is very thorough. 😊⭐️
I saw on UTube were someone called the 7th, 9th, 11th ect. the color tone of the cord. And anything after rhat would Alter the cord So a Cmaj7 #11 where C is the tonic or root of the cord, Maj is the cord quality , 7 is the color tone of the cord and #11 makes it an Altered cord. Does that make any since?
Thanks, Gracie! Your videos really fill in the gaps that my jazz guitar teacher skimmed over, years ago. Is there an abbreviated symbol for the minor-major-7 chord. How is it typically notated on a chord chart? My favorite 7 chord is the minor 7, but 7sus4 are really cool sounding too. I don’t think you have gone there yet in your video tutorials.
