  3. As for the Ed Sheeran comment, it was misdirected anger. He's a great artist, no question about it. I should be pissed at the radio DJs that have no idea of variety and use playlists of the same 5 songs day in day out – one of which happens to be Ed Sheeran's Give Me Love.

  4. Perhaps we have different ideas of how the music industry works. I'm not saying I'm right, I'm not saying you're wrong. But based on what counts as 'hit' music these days, it seems unlikely to me that even if more artists take up this genre, the labels won't sign them all.
    What I meant by the original comment was that we need actual -singers- and not autotuned oompa loompas.
