I’m playing a C harmonica in 1st position for the first half of this lesson which is the key of C, and then I switch to 2nd position, also referred to as cross-harp, so we are in the key of G for the I Want Candy riff. Any 10-hole diatonic harmonica in the key of C will work for this lesson.

I, in first position, can we play to the ii, iii, IV and VI chords?
Awesome! Big fun!!
Dude igrew up in the 80s what a rad first riff to learn
Lost me when you went to cross harp. The sound coming out of yours just sounds completely different to mines. Like not the chors but the actual sound of it. No idea why. 🤷🏻♂️

Helpful video. Just had a question. When you were explaining the 5 chord in 1st position, I got a little lost as to how that chord works for drawing on any hole between 1 and 5. Could you explain that a bit?
Pretty cool, watching a few of your vids and you're playing my harp, got that going for me, next which end to blow through?
Thank you so much for this video.
Luke, could you please teach us how to play the harmonica solos in "What I like about you?"
Wow thank you .
I know this is probably a beginners lesson in your world but u lost me pretty quick. I am no longer having fun. I feel like im back in high school hating the sax. I think i just feel i should be great without learning anything about music and just jam.

IV Chord?
Dude! Your lessons are outstanding! Super easy to follow, and very helpful. Thanks!
Hey Luke… You have answered me on here before to day, and so i'm hoping you can maybe help me this 'once more' ?….When playing 12 bar blues there seems to be two conflicting thoughts on what chords are to be played. I know the chord progression, but some say it's the 1,3 and 5. Others telling me 1, 4, and 5. would you, if you have a minute tell me where i'm getting confused…. Thanks, and thanks for all the videos you've shared on here. They've certainly helped ME !
Great lesson…I'm workin' it! Funny gag reel…lol. :))
Great teach, wanna learn some songs when hanging with family around the fires of life!

Thank you so much for your help👍👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪👏👏👏👏👏💖😘
When I draw on the -234, V, G chord (lmao so many versions now) anyways whatever I do when I draw it sounds really high pitched and ugly… How do i draw correctly? I believe its me but could it be the harmonica?
Great lessons. Thank you.

"Where do chords come from?" Everyone knows that. They come from the stork. And storks come from outer space, so chords are from outer space.
ypur a great teacher man, thankyou!!
Very good simple and effective
What means "-2" in "-234" how I could blow and not blow in the same time?
you're a really good harmonica teacher im playing better now thank you
On Youtube it just seems that every instrument has its lot of awesome, dedicated to sharing their passion teachers. Cool stuff. Thank you!
Beginners should learn chrods first or singles notes first
I'm so glad that you use the ukulele with the harmonica. That is one instrument that I can play a little bit and understand the chords.
You are an awesome teacher!! I never dreamed after one week my son and I would be making such fun music with our new Harmonicas!
I'm just beginning to "pick up" playing the harmonica. So, I need to ask you how you do the "Ta Ka" bit while playing it. I hope you can explain it for us. Thank you for sharing your talent with us all. Keep the videos coming, please.
I really enjoyed this Luke thanks. I like the way you explain which I find easy to understand and I'd love to follow a proper course if you are gonna be the teacher. I checked the site but I only found the few videos that you uploaded. Can you give me some advice? Thanks. Enrico from Italy
Luke Thanks for all you put out, Im 57 and decided to play again after almost 30 years, you have helped tremendously!
I'm confused. Why is G chord draws on 234…isn't the G blow on 3?
How do "Blues" players get the (5) "Major", or "Minor"pentatonic tones, when two of them are not exactly in the "Major (diatonic) scale"?!….
