How to Play Major Triads – Learning Chords on Piano and information related to this topic.
Learn your major triads on piano with this easy lesson for beginners. Learning chords on piano will really help with playing songs, improvising and understanding music theory. Like all triad chords, a major triad has three notes; a root, a third, and a fifth. All major triads have a bright and happy sounds. Also, songs in major keys also have an overall uplifting sound to them. On the piano, you can create a major triad built on any note if you play the root note (the letter name of the chord), play a note four half steps above and then playing a note three half steps above. Next lesson, we will talk about minor triads which are also three note chords but sounds sad in comparison.

I even shared with our music teacher Great great great !!!
So in jazz, when they say 2-5-3 og ii-v-iii what do they mean?
E to F is a half step. Not a whole.
Thanks, starter triads nailed now…
When can you use triads in a song? I've seen countless tutorials on how to play songs on piano, but they just give single keys? Like C A B etc to perform a piece. So basically that's 3 keys that I will press. Or do I need use triads on per chord and press 3 keys like on C (C Major Chord – C E G)
ps. It's my first day to learn piano and it's still blurry to me
You made me get an A on a music exam. Thanks

I don't understand how you come up with 4 half steps to make a third. and then 3 half steps above that to get the 5th.
Amazing! You are brilliant!

I learned how to read sheet music as a child and I had a basic understanding of what a chord was, but something like this, learning what musical notes make up which chords, was the one thing I was always missing from my life.
I've finally found it. Thank you.
