Hi to everyone commenting "too hard, not well explained, not understandable etc.":
Sometimes there are things you don't understand immediately but eventually will. That is called learning.
And you'll learn much more, if you think yourself a little, reapeat the lesson a couple of times and find out some things yourself.
I found it also difficult and challenging, but in a pleasant way. We are given tools and it's normal we don't know directly how to use them with perfection.
P.S. Obviously it's partly over my head aswell, since I'm hardly an intermediate player with zero impro skills.;)
I was 23 and had been playing guitar for ten years, knew all the chords I thought I needed but didn't know how to play solos until a teacher at Linda's Music Mart at Asquith showed me this pentatonic scale. Man it was a breath of fresh air and I was away. Still can't play for shit I'm 68 but at least I know where I'm heading.
Relative major and minor pentonic scales

Is there a term i can use to find out how to know what each note is on each string depending on what fret your on? For instance if i hold the 7th fret of the low e string, what does E become?
I think you did a great job here, people can pick up their guitars and follow along, seemed simple enough to me
just smoke, then everything will come out. im sure u guys coukd benefit too.
PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION. If I am playing pentatonic solo over CAm. Can I go outside the boxes if I am playing over the chord position strictly? So let's do the backing track rhythm is playing a G chord can I then solos in G too?
Thank you! It was very good for me! I really need this knowledge.

as a newb, I didn't understand any of this …
i'll be back in a year and see if i get it or better yet Can do it.
Can’t wait until I can understand this level of instruction. Better get back to playing.👍🏻😎
Playing pentatonic scales is pleasing to the ear, but it is a great example of trying to get from point a to point b using a shortcut as well. It’s tempting to folks to stop exploring once they learn it. If you want to be a fully adept musician, there is a lot of other territory demanding the learner’s attention. It all depends what you want to achieve on the instrument. For a Dr. who just wants to learn how to play along with the blues, it’s almost enough. For a 12-year-old with more time on their hands and a desire to be a future professional musician, it is just not enough. They need to be able to do so much more.
Jens Larsen, from a jazz perspective (but still Scandinavian!) explains this concept VERY WELL in one of his videos. Great playing, though, Paul.
What are some good resources to learn music theory for guitar?
The most shrediest shred I've ever heard
Thank you so much. My younger brother's name is Paul David. Seriously
The neck on that Strat is 😍
This is great you can pause on the scale diagrams. Watch it a few times and it will start waking sense. 👍 great video
