  1. Hello from Ireland?. Been trying to get the c#minor right for the last 2 painful weeks trying to learn on fire from your other video.Only found this vid now.Almost there However my thumb is in a horizontal position half way down the guitar is that a common position also??Thanks man for your great vids they very well put together and explained I appreciate it?

  2. I know what a bar chord is, the problem is in using the index finger to create the bar, I get too many dull notes. Should the index finger be flat on or sideways on, or somewhere in between?

  3. Thanks for the video. I play a classical guitar, that has a much wider neck and the major problem I have with barre chords is that critical strings come right in the creases of my index finger. Try as I might, I can't get all 6 strings pressed down hard enough to sound properly. I'm at a loss to know if this is a fixable problem. I've tried various positions of my finger all to no avail.

  4. please help me,i’ve been playing barre chords for 2 months now and there is a huge bump or big calluses on the side of my finger,i can play all barre chords pretty well but i just can’t play the e minor shape because the huge bump on my finger

  5. is it just my guitar that the string is like rock solid to press it hurts my finger so bad even with calluses, it's a cheap guitar I fixed so I can learn

  6. Just noticed that in the 6th string root shapes, the third note of the chord is only supplied by the third string… COINCIDENCE?! Maybe, but it's a pretty handy way to remember part of the chord!

  7. ive noticed that moving my thumb up the neck of the guitar helps me get a cleaner sound from the strings, but now my wrist is extremely bent when playing and it hurts. My hands are really small so a lot of these barre chords are much more challenging for me, is there any good solution to this?

  8. Am I the only one whose here bc their chubby fingers don’t let them play bare chords. My index finger doesn’t let me play the last string all the rest are good but when I try and play all of it together the thin string sinks into the end of my finger

  9. This is great – I didn't know how to progress from my cowboy chords into bar chords….. thanks for showing! The video is nice and clear and simples! Great production and allows people like me, a drummer learning guitar who can't count past 4, that 6 isn't that far away!
