God is one of my favorite tracks on the entire album and I will tell you why. It took me a couple listens to figure out that in the first verse he is talking from his point of view asking God to have mercy on him and in the second verse he responds from Gods point of view with "Watch who you talking to, aye do you know who you talking to" (Lyric based on memory might have messed it up a bit). I think it shows his relationship with God and shows the pressure of living down his past life full of mistakes with gang violence. Kendrick has frequently talked about being a role model to the youth and I think he is going through his process of forgiveness or in other words cleansing of sins so he can become the role model that the kids need. Not to mention the song just sounds amazing, I was disappointed to see a lot of people not enjoying this track when it is one of my most frequently played songs off the album other than Duckworth and XXX.

cmon man this aint a 10/10 cant touch tpab. The tracks don't really build off each other, yh there,s some pretty conceptual lyrics but the story telling dosent compare to his previous works. The production is fire however I don't think the tracks have are as fully fleshed out, some of kendricks delivery on this lp is a little too dejected and bland for my liking and yh i get thats what he was going for but he dosent capture the rawness and emotion that he is capable off
