  1. y’all i know i’m late but i just wanted to say thank you so much for 1M views! i wasn’t expecting this to get so many views, especially with K12 out. thank you guys so much again, stream K12 and thank you for not forgetting about crybaby 🙂 💕

  2. This is what I think the song means
(0:02)Chorus-No matter how you try to hide things or make them look nice, they are the same thing. “It’s a corpse in the cradle” I think that is equivalent to “skeletons in the closet”
    (0:37)Verse 1- Distrust and Secrecy
    (1:48)Verse 2-Eating disorder and insecurities
Overall I think the song is pointing out what life actually is, not some fantasy world that is shown in movies.
Edit: “he’s still dead when your done with the bottle” I think that’s referring to the sippy cup. And I think the syrup is medicine syrup. I think that line means trying to save what you love or trying to bring back what you miss, or trying to fix your mistakes

  3. Raise your hand if your tired of being the friend group therapist but you don't have the heart to say shit because you were raised didn't get too much time to get to say what was important

  4. “kids are still depressed when you dress them up” – my favourite line. it means so much to me because on the outside i can dress and act happy and like nothing’s wrong but on the inside i’m breaking down 🙁

  5. My best friend this is her literal life. She is abused, her parents are alcoholics and I tried to report them many times but she just said me not to because she loved them…her mom try’s to force her to drink…she always comes to my house to stay away from those monsters disgusted as humans..she cries whenever she’s at my house and she tries to hide the scratches and bruises but I can see them even if she tries to hide them she stays at My’s more than she stays at her’s my parents don’t know about how she is abused and forced to drink they just know that her parents are alcoholics and that’s why they understand why she comes I can’t tell them the full reason otherwise they would report them but my bff she loves her parents very much and she has lost hope in her that they will understand someday 😭😭😭😭 she is still waiting for that day😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭she says this is her favourite song because it describes her life 😭😭😭

  6. essa música é tudo pra mim, significa mt porque a partes que lembram minha vida e foi a primeira música que escutei da melanie

  7. my interpretation:

"blood still stains when the sheets are washed, sex don't sleep when the lights are off" – referring to something traumatic that happened at night, (rape/sexual assault) and desperately trying to hide the fact that something did happen.

"kids are still depressed when you dress them up" – referring to how no matter if you try to make someone feel better, and get them to stop thinking about something, it doesn't change the fact that they're still depressed, and your temporary hand to help them is exactly that. temporary.

"you got weights in your pockets when you go to the doctors" – referring to what i think are two things: 1) a teenager with some sort of eating disorder, holding weights in their pockets in order to come off as healthy, and not concern those around them as to why they're so light/underweight. 2) another teen, who is hiding their sexuality, or that they're sexually active, so as to not face any negative reactions. (girls, boys, gays, and they's, please be safe if you are engaging in sexual acts, your health should always be #1)
