Would a ‘minor 6’ chord not imply it has a minor 6th interval not a major 6th interval?
So how would you spell a G minor 6 in the key of Bb?
White Ferrari
0:49 sound of a Leslie S3L
Lower the 6th a half step it sounds way better
Going from something like a G6 to a Gm6 and then from a G6 to a Gmaj7 is sounds so beautiful
How do you film this video with the camera for youtube.
what if you lower the 6th from a cminor, whats it called then ? and get c-eb-g-ab
Thanks a lot for a lesson )
This kinda sounds like something Danny Elfman would do! I love it
I laughed at the end too :)) was a great lesson, as usual!!!! 😉
one thing i noticed,
on different "coordinates"/modes,
the 6th falls different places,
example in Cmaj scale
on E or A minor the 6th falls to +1semitone above the 5th of the chord,
does those are being used often aswell? or we should rather stick with the
+2semitone above 5th versions of 6th chords,
thank you very much,
i really like your videos 😉 (y)
I disagree with this, your just taking a major 6 chord and flatting the 3rd… but if you build your whole chord off the minor scale (ex:C-D-Eb-F-G-Ab-Bb-C) then the sixth note of the scale would be A flat, not A. right?
So would an Em6 chord be E-G-B-C# ?
Just thought I'd note that a iv6 – I progression sounds wonderfully melancholic.
I think they sound incredibily Debussian. Am I the only one that gets this feeling?
