  1. Reels GIG's could consist of the REEL of UNKNOWN…….A Chocolate Wheel where all the songs they knew were listed on a Chocolate wheel type wheel, REGEEE/PUNK/COUNTRY/NEW WAVE etc ,the difference was that once spun, and called out by the audience, the REELS use to do the that song in that version……brilliant……something you had to see happen at the time.

  2. This song is far over-rated. Tried very hard to like this group at the time because I knew a sibling of lead singer Dave Mason but could never get into their music. It was their cover versions which found more commercial success than any of their original compositions. An odd musical group.

  3. Is there any way possible to download or buy this version (with synth mix in chorus not found in available CDs/itunes downloads)? This version gives an already great song that edge

  4. I saw this band booed from the stage back in the day, they were so far removed from the pub rock scene at the time. I have always liked this song.

  5. If you listen closely, you'll notice the use of ivmaj9 iii7b9 ii5(no third) as the main harmonic hook in the chorus. This was miles ahead of most pop music at the time with more harmonic sophistication than a lot of 'jazz' . Very good bassline too. 11/10

  6. Sorry the quirkiness of The Reels, probably held them back as far as popularity or sales go, but, to me, that was their charm. Along with Australian Crawl, they never get the accolades they both deserve, in many "Best Australian Band's" lists
