  1. I like how you sad to add some pieces of chords to something else, like borrow from one place and put somewhere in different melody or so on, thanks for nice lesson.

  2. IYes, I appreciate that he is an accomplished player and knows his theory, yet something about Robin just bugs me. Everything is always so sour and complicated and dark and USELESS other than trying to impress people with dissonant abstract "jazz."

  3. At 5:40 when he said Ab13 add 9. Isn't it just a sharp 4 nine chord? Like Eb9 right. That is how I think anyways. Thank you master Jedi Ford for all the knowledge you give us. much love! 💜

  4. I have a hard time playing the blues as of late. I'm white and boring. I look to the greats for inspiration. Billie Holiday comes to mind. Search: Billie Holiday. Cultural apropriation is next.

  5. I’m “familiar” with these concepts of chord construction; the challenge for me is being able to do it without having to carefully think about it. Maybe someday.

  6. Absolutely brilliant delivery. So natural, as if he's sat with you in your kitchen having a cup of tea and showing you a few tips.

  7. What a special experience to be talked to and explained the rich inner workings of chords/chord nuances by such an extremely adept and exciting musician!

  8. here another youtube video with 90% drivel and 10% example and just playing. IM TIRED OF BEING TOLD HOW YOU MOVE YOUR HANDS, YOUR LITTLE PHILOSOPHY, WHAT A MAJOR SCALE IS… GEEZUZ… JUST PLAY THE EXAMPLES!

  9. This guy is the freakin' Bob Ross of guitar… Watching this thinking, oh man that looked easy, here I'll just grab my guitar and do that… Um doesn't come out the same at all. But still he explains it as if you could do it yourself. The secret, like Bob Ross's absolutely disciplined and perfected brush strokes, comes only from having a long, involved relationship with the neck of a guitar.
