Thank you. I made it halfway through the video and I just spent like two minutes finding the right chords for a song I just made. Before it was just words, but now with actual chords it sounds like an actual song.

why did you choose Ddim @5:00? Did you already know the key? the only major key to have a Ddim is Eb.. But from the melody, how did you know what key it already was?

Wow, this was really helpful. You did this really quickly, didn't get too complicated in explaining the theory (I understand a little bit of theory, but when people use too much of it or start adding in 6, 7, 9, 11, I get a little overwhelmed) and just showed some really solid examples really quickly and briefly! After learning how to do it, I like this method a lot better than trying to do chords and then melody
Damn I watched this when I started producing and did not learn anything, watched it again after some experience with writing melodies over chords, and now I totally get it
