  1. From when i play this one along with the video from the HighwayMen concert, they start in C to G and F
When Waylon sings his verse they change to D then A to G
Please watch it and let me know if this is correct.
    BTW, great job!

  2. Why are you strumming differently than what you are suggesting? You said: DD UDU but after you strum DD, I notice you strum down on the 2 highest strings, then UDU.. I am confused.

  3. Hi David, great tutorial, your layout n display of chords n explanation n importantly strum pattern shown are all just great. Thank you. Me a all time great fan of Kris.Could you also please do Sunday morning coming down especially showing both strum pattern of Kris as well as Johnny cash

  4. Any chance you can let us know what tempo (bpm) you're playing at? New to guitar guy here and trying to practice everything using a metronome. Haven't developed the ear for things yet. Great tutorial and thanks.

  5. Man I watch all your videos and you looks so comfortable and relaxed with the pick and strumming. I’m only just starting out but wondering if you could do a video highlighting technique and key points to focus on please? Love your work

  6. Great lesson, best one i have seen so far. All your lessons are pretty great. Thanks for all you have done so far. Can't wait to explore your other lessons!

  7. great lesson – you started singing in that low voice and then somewhere in the second verse your voice found its natural place and you sounded a lot like Roger Miller for the rest of the song. Funny but plenty good enough.

  8. Chris kristofferson version is different.
As in the words are different.
    Is it the same cords?

I like her version but I really love how kristofferson does it.

  9. You definitely have a knack for teaching. This lesson is very accessible and clear. I'm 43 years old and a year into my instruction, and I have a hunch that your tutorials are going to be pivotal in my playing development. Your pacing is right at my level.

  10. Great lesson! Thanks for taking the extra effort and putting the illustrations of the chords and strumming pattern up on the screen.
Really makes it so much easier to learn and enjoyable. It’s also really nice how you play the song first, to let us hear how it sounds.
That way we are not wasting 15 minutes watching someone show the chords to a song that we may or may not want to learn.

  11. enjoyed it more than I can say. someday maybe you could teach some more songs from Kris's silver tongued devil album. I would love to share a few beers with ya, cheers.
