  1. Great video! Your link to the chord chart pdf is broken. Thinking about buying the big 80 chord book but want to see an example of what they look like first.

  2. 5th string Dmin9 – Simply Red 'Holding Back The Years'. Instantly recognizable start. Good lesson. Love that strat – very clean, sweet sounding with volume way up on the neck PUP. Nice.

  3. This is the best instructional video among all the dozens of internet videos I have watched! Clear demonstration of where to position the fingers and a clear audio demo of what it should sound like. I've just subscribed and am going to check all the other videos he has!

  4. It would be helpful (to me, at least) if you would arpeggiate the chords once your fingers are in place so we could more easily see where you're placing the differentiating note(s.) I don't play in standard tuning, therefore the sound profile is more relevant to me than the fingering!

  5. Good video. When I first started playing I taught myself all the basic barre chords, maj, minor, 7th, minor 7th, etc. It was so much easier than trying to sort out the open fingerings and much easier to remember for different keys.

  6. Are these kind of guitar instructors lonely or something? Why are they always making up words and phrases to make them sound like some kind of science teacher when they're supposed to be teaching guitar. Truly just sounds like hes overcompensating for something…

  7. It would be great if these videos taught which intervals of the chord are being played by each finger and if these chords were demonstrated in context with other chords

  8. Absolutely confused now.
I just wish there was a way to figure out where your fingers go to form a chord shape without knowing the 17th root of the 35th interval of the 7th level of the diminished 45th element of the periodic table over a 7 chord all in A & D minor of course.

  9. Thanks for the sensible teaching and spending your time. Easy and applicable w/o confusion. Practice makes perfect my friends.
