Fantastic, simple, and to the point.. Thank you for making the penny drop!
Is that a custom made strat .
Woah.
There are a couple of chords I haven’t used and they sound very bluesy. Too bad the link for the chord chart doesn’t exist.
Ridiculously good video!
Great video! Your link to the chord chart pdf is broken. Thinking about buying the big 80 chord book but want to see an example of what they look like first.
5th string Dmin9 – Simply Red 'Holding Back The Years'. Instantly recognizable start. Good lesson. Love that strat – very clean, sweet sounding with volume way up on the neck PUP. Nice.
That C minor 7 is the first chord played in "Who's that Lady " by the Isley Brothers. Good stuff.
This is amazing. Those alternate voicings are making my head explode in a good way.
Thanks, TF!
This is the best instructional video among all the dozens of internet videos I have watched! Clear demonstration of where to position the fingers and a clear audio demo of what it should sound like. I've just subscribed and am going to check all the other videos he has!
Thank you. Well explained and detailed.?
It would be helpful (to me, at least) if you would arpeggiate the chords once your fingers are in place so we could more easily see where you're placing the differentiating note(s.) I don't play in standard tuning, therefore the sound profile is more relevant to me than the fingering!
Good video. When I first started playing I taught myself all the basic barre chords, maj, minor, 7th, minor 7th, etc. It was so much easier than trying to sort out the open fingerings and much easier to remember for different keys.
He didn't play them as a chord progression because they DONT work
13th chord with root on the 6th string is easier to voice with the thumb over!?
Thank you for the great lesson.
Very clear language, good intonation both voice and guitar!
Nice instruction, thanks! say, the link for the 'free chord chart' seems to be out of whack….
Isn’t the chord at 5:49 the 13th I’ve always thought that was a 7 chord is it not?
sounds more like jazz chords to me
Great lesson, can do a lot with these blues chords, thanks.
Good stuff! Thank you!
Are these kind of guitar instructors lonely or something? Why are they always making up words and phrases to make them sound like some kind of science teacher when they're supposed to be teaching guitar. Truly just sounds like hes overcompensating for something…
i got learnt. Gratitude.
WOUAHHHH Tant de paroles !!!!
7:14 Stormy Monday
It would be great if these videos taught which intervals of the chord are being played by each finger and if these chords were demonstrated in context with other chords
Great teacher! Great lesson!
Absolutely confused now.
I just wish there was a way to figure out where your fingers go to form a chord shape without knowing the 17th root of the 35th interval of the 7th level of the diminished 45th element of the periodic table over a 7 chord all in A & D minor of course.
Its about time someone knows how to give a demonstration properly with intelligence and finesse! Just breatheeeeeee!!!
Great lesson, thanks
really greT AND HELPFUL THANK YOU
Hugely helpful. Great lesson eloquently delivered. Thank you.
Thanks for the sensible teaching and spending your time. Easy and applicable w/o confusion. Practice makes perfect my friends.
Great looking guitar
<3
it's a strat… but with a metal nut… and a humbucker?… what guitar is that?
Hhhhwhere
A bit confusing as the fret position in the diagram doesn’t always reflect the fret position he is playing in the video otherwise great!
I like this dude. In fact, I want to have a beer and jam with this dude.
excellent video lesson…thanks very much
The fact that the tabs are on different frets than he is playing it is bugging me. But great
very good lesson thanks so much!
Great. Thx a lot
excellent video man thanks!!
loved it
Knew most of these, It's just most of the time I struggle to connect them. Clear video though thumbs up!
Great stuff!!!!
Your chord series are amazing. No BS. Thanks a lot man.
Nice. I knew a lot of this but it's nice to see it together. Thanks.
