What abt the notes at the bottom??
Hi Sharon, in the example it looks like they've added some notes to finish off each chord (e.g. GBD in the 3rd bar of the first example). Would we be expected to do this in an exam or would just naming the Chords at the bottom, like you've done here, suffice?

Hi Sharon, according to the example the chord notes are in red with the answer. Don't we need to write in these notes?

Specifically when analyzing the chord name if we see a G Bb D F: Then isn't that a G Minor Seventh Chord? Even if F followed G would it still be called a G Minor Seventh Chord? Thank you in advance for the kindness of your reply:)

Well, my grade 6 theory workbook arrived yesterday and I nearly gave up on the spot after reading through the first worked example. My first thought was "Sharon, help! Where are you???". Once the minor panic had subsided I realised that I stood a fighting chance if I came back here and revised your excellent Grade 5 explanation of cadences. But a lot to learn about progressions…thanks again for all your help.

And also, when you write out the chords, you can skip number 3, because it'll confuse you when you r looking at the chords.
