Once you’ve mastered the basics of playing chords and progressions, it’s time to take that playing to the next level. This lesson takes a look at giving your music a bit more life and beauty, just by taking simple 3 note triads and switching them up a bit using inversions and minors to create something new. So, take these concepts and make them part of your everyday practicing. Don’t feel locked down to simple chord structures, explore your piano and see what you can add or take away! Enjoy

The A Minor 7 doesn't sound right with these chords.
Long live the channel!!!
In the first part: The G7 sucks, it doesnt fit well and it should end in Cmaj7 again
So if 7th chords are better than the "boring" triads, then what's the point of using triads?
Would you be able to teach the chords your playing in the intro of this video? They sound awesome
I just skip whatever this guy is playing
Thank you! When I was a kid, you had to pay for this kind of lessons

Finally !! Someone makes sense to me .. thank you so muchh !!!
you just made it in minor key :((
Oh joy, oh bliss. Today (in lockdown) I started again at No1 re-watched all the videos, made careful notes and by the time I got to this new one (having spent yesterday slogging at learning my relative minors around the circle of 5ths) I understood and followed Justin. Thank you Lisa and Justin. Hugs xx
Good thing I watched this and so I learned something relevant today❤
What is the rule in passing note here? I noticed you did not play passing note from F7 – G7 @4:40 but play a passing note on G7 – Am7
you are lovely and so was this tutorial! Thanks!!
This is by far the best piano learning channel on YouTube.
Hahaha the c f c and a chords I have been playing and I was looking for others but still sounds really good tho
Thanku from india 😇
Awesome lesson. I'm an adult beginner
Great 👍🏻
Lovely but too fast o_o #_#
You must consider using the MODES Progressions 1-4-5; 2-5-1, etc.etc. Also the Circle of 5ths and the scale MODES, Ionian, Aeolian, Phrygian, Lydian, etc. Not just add the 7th to every chord because, then you will sound awkward.
Nice. Sounds a bit like Supertramp.
awesome! thank you.
Let me know when you get to 11ths and 13ths.
Wouldn’t add an A to a C chord just make it C6? 🤔
Good
HAPPY Christmas Jordan THANKS
Day three and now the melody never leaves my head! It's in my head all day at work and it's what helps me throughout. My favorite melody yet so far and I'm gonna master it! Thank you so much!!!
